My First Step into Renewable Energy
My journey with Sermsang began with a walk-in interview, but there’s an interesting story behind it. I had previously worked with CEO and always found him to be an admirable person, which gave me the confidence to pursue this path. From the very beginning, I believed that renewable energy was the future, especially as climate change was starting to become a major global topic. Another reason was my past experience in the petrochemical industry, where I witnessed a great deal of pollution. It made me feel that it was time to shift to a line of work that had a positive impact on the world, and for me, renewable energy was the answer.
A Decade of Challenges
Over the past 10 years, my work has been divided into two main phases: construction and operation. During the construction phase, I worked as a Civil Engineer, a role I was already familiar with. However, the main challenge was managing contractors and ensuring projects were completed on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality. SPN managed to build a 40 MW power plant in just 10 months, which is incredibly fast.
Once we moved to the operation phase, the challenge shifted to ensuring the power plant met its performance targets. I set goals and worked with the dedication of a business owner. The collaboration with my team and the unwavering support from management were crucial in overcoming every obstacle.
Pride in the Success of Our Team and Organization
I feel a sense of pride every time the company succeeds. I’m especially proud looking back to 10 years ago when Sermsang first entered the renewable energy business. Everyone collaborated wholeheartedly from day one, and that spirit continues today. Sermsang’s growth is a direct result of our leadership’s vision and the cooperation of every team member, which together drive the organization’s stable growth.
I believe success comes from viewing the organization as a home. When you love and feel connected to it, you dedicate yourself completely. For me, the company’s success is my success. The reason I’ve had such a long career here is because the management provides opportunities and fosters positive relationships within the organization, alongside a culture of integrity and knowledge sharing. Seeing our company as a home inspires me every day.

At SPN, this starts from the ground up: designing our power plants with the environment in mind, using resources efficiently, increasing green spaces, promoting community activities, and hiring local labor. These principles are the foundation of the sustainable development we have always upheld.
